Happy New Year. Yep, it still a new year. We have to practice it when waking up and treat it as a new year. New Hope. New beginning. We all search for meaning in life. One of the things we must do, is be a blessing to others. Help others. Never do the trendy things to be famous and be notice.

Happiness is not based on bucket list and self expression. But good old kindness is.

Its unfair for someone who do not enroll to art school and tell someones work "that is not art".

This is a fact. The ancient masters of drawing, music, poetry, dancing, cooking, even warfare did not go to an academe school. It is a trial and error phase to perfection and passed from pioneer to its follower usually one to one, the master and the student.

Natural artist are diamonds in a rock and need chipping to be curve to the gem one wish to see and adore but its always there in its rough form. 

Contemporary or modern art is an anti thesis. Someone who studied for years in art school, to have an art show to display blank canvas and let viewers and visitor to go beyond what they see. Its an opinion wars of different "interpretation". We heard it all. Red is the new Yellow. You are lying to yourself.

Art should be inspirational, positive, motivation, with feeling of hurt from the truth. Its all about the truth. Famous photos like the US Marines in Iwo Jima or the helicopter in the fall of Saigon, the first step on the Moon, Cherry blossoms, Sunrise, old couples still together. 

If you have the talent, practicing and patient, who knows where art will lead you. For myself, I am just getting ready and hoping my time will come.

My apologies if I post my sketches only on a weekends. I do not have postpaid payment on my phone. Been busy reviewing related to my work this "cloud computing" thing. Sketching is a stress reliever for me. Also thanks if you do pass by and notice my drawing. Appreciate your likes and favorites. Thanks.

Kind of slow down posting sketches but I still drew while riding a bus and paying my bill ( I still prefer the old way). Taking my time sharing new drawing so hope you be patient if you are following my ballpen drawings.

I started drawing with a BIC ballpen before grade school and occasional paper model planes. Often drawing with any paper mostly scratchpad, copier paper and notebook back pages even on my test papers that my teacher warned me to stop sketching diving airplanes along with a bad score.

I am hoping to enhance my skills with drawing portraits since its really hard to draw people than machines.
Drawing is my stress reliever. The Philippine traffic is one of the worst in the world and drawing while commuting, sitting or standing, sure kept my sanity in tack. I even draw while in line in the grocery, ATM and paying my bills or at my in-laws house.

Here is a life tip. Have a good hobby in the arts (drawing, music, writing).
It can save you from boredom and sometimes, get the girl you like.
